2023 Annual Meeting Information for First-Time Attendees

Welcome First-Timers!

Congratulations on deciding to join your colleagues and friends for the 2023 PLDF Annual Meeting. We understand that being a first-time attendee at a conference can be daunting. We provide the following information to help enhance your experience.

“The PLDF Annual Meeting is a fantastic avenue for young attorneys to network, collaborate, and learn from experienced attorneys from around the country practicing in our field. I haven’t missed a meeting since joining the organization. Being involved in PLDF has been a really rewarding experience. The presenters are top notch, and the organization is filled with great people. Attending the annual meeting is the best way to see firsthand the opportunities PLDF can provide to a young attorney. I hope to see you in Nashville.”

- James J. Hunter, Collins Einhorn Farrell PC, Southfield, MI

Registration and Welcome Receptions

When you arrive at the Grand Hyatt Denver on Wednesday, September 28, be sure to check in to your hotel room then plan to head over to the Annual Meeting Registration Desk. Registration will begin at 4:00 p.m.

The PLDF Young Professionals Committee (YPC), which brings younger professionals, in the early stages of their careers, together to expand their network, get to know each other and build lasting relationships, will gather with PLDF Board of Directors and Committee Leadership at a reception for all young professionals (10 years or less in practice/industry). The Reception will run from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. This is a great opportunity to mingle with an intimate group of other young professionals.

ALL attendees are invited to join us for the Welcome Reception from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. This is a great place to connect with all meeting attendees in advance of heading out for dinner.

Dine Arounds

Another great way to become acquainted with PLDF meeting attendees is to participate in the Wednesday evening Dine Arounds. You will have an opportunity to choose one exceptional, nearby Denver restaurant and join other members for an informal, relaxed dining experience. (Please note: Participation in the Dine Arounds is not included in your registration fee.)

PLDF Wellness

We appreciate that when you are traveling, it is harder to take the time for routine exercise and self-care. PLDF will offer a "Fun Run" on Friday to start your day off on the right foot.

Breakfast

Make plans to join your fellow PLDF meeting attendees on Thursday, September 28th and Friday, September 29th for breakfast. This is a great opportunity to meet new friends and share insights from the previous day.

“I have found the annual meeting to be full of new information on hot topics and emerging issues. This keeps me informed as to what is going on in the industry and how to address the issues as they come up during the year. Further, networking with the industry leaders is invaluable and enjoyable.”

- Laura Zaroski, JD, RPLU, Gallagher – Chicago, IL

General Session and Concurrent Sessions

An exceptional educational program is being developed to provide a wide array of important and interesting professional liability topics to our attendees. Our entire lineup of educational programming will be offered on the top floor of the Grand Hyatt Denver Conference Tower.  The education program begins each day at 8:00 a.m. and refreshment breaks will be provided.

Luncheon and Committee Discussions

All attendees are invited to join the PLDF Committee leaders for lunch and discussion on recent trends in the law according to your practice area. You will also be able to provide input to committee leaders on the focus for your practice area for the coming year.

Sightseeing Tours and Annual Meeting Social and Dinner

On Thursday, September 28th, you can join with fellow attendees to have fun and experience Denver through our complimentary tours (pre-registration is required). We are offering two tours from which to pick:  Denver Bike Bar Tour or Meow Wolf.
