Membership in Professional Liability Defense Federation is open to attorneys, claims professionals, and risk managers. Insurance producers are also welcome to membership if their careers involve some role in the claims process and if they are recommended by a PLDF member. To qualify for membership applicants must devote most of their professional time, related to malpractice claims, to the defense of such claims.

Attorney at Law

Membership for attorneys is available to those who devote most of their professional time to the defense of malpractice claims.

Attorney at Law Membership Dues:

"In-House" Counsel

Membership for "In-house" counsel is available to those attorneys who are employed directly by a corporation and are involved in the defense of malpractice claims.

Membership for claims professionals or risk managers are reserved for those claims handling and supervising professionals involved in the defense of malpractice claims.

Membership for vendors is available to those who are employed by a company which provides goods and services to the legal and/or insurance communities.

PLDF Membership Dues are not deductible as a charitable contribution for U.S. federal
income tax purposes, but may be deductible as a business expense.
