We are looking for our next great lineup of speakers for our Annual Meeting and want to encourage you to get involved.
We hope you can join us for the Annual Meeting, September 17-19 at the Paris Hotel, Las Vegas. We want and need your help to continue our tradition of offering exceptional programming to our attendees. To get involved simply complete the Annual Meeting Presentation Topic Proposal Form below.
Proposals must be submitted by March 14. Please note that only proposals submitted with the PLDF Presentation Topic Proposal Form will be considered by our Board-appointed Planning Committee. The committee will review all submissions and will make selections in early April.
Our Board and Planning Committee offer the following general guidelines for speaking proposals:
Also, some states require attorneys to take CLE coursework on elimination of bias, or diversity and inclusion, and the program selection committee will welcome such submissions.
Linked here is a list suggesting areas of interest that might spur an idea around which you can create a presentation panel. Please use your imagination and experience to arrive at a topic you think would benefit your fellow PLDF members. Segment length ordinarily is 50-60 minutes.
We value proposals from our industry members and value input from our industry members about topics important to claims professionals. (Please note that for adjuster CEU credits content must be related to the responsibilities of an adjuster, not a lawyer. Topics involving adjuster ethics, insurer ethics, unfair claims practices, deceptive trade/consumer fraud practices, duties of the adjuster to the insured, fiduciary duties, etc. are preferred.)
Substantive written materials are required for the program to receive continuing education and continuing legal education credits. By your submission of this presentation proposal, you agree to supply substantive written materials no less than 60 days before the Annual Meeting. PowerPoint slide presentations are not required but are recommended and encouraged. Please make your presentation lively, engaging, entertaining and as interactive as possible. Involving the audience in some way is always popular.
PLEASE NOTE: If you submit a proposal, it is important that you do not promise any industry members you recruit for a presentation proposal that they will be presenting until your proposal has been accepted. We frequently receive more qualified proposals than we can accept. If your presentation is selected we will require a 5-10-15 second video promoting your presentation. We also highly encourage you as a presenter to register for the event. An article on your topic will be collected from you/your group following the meeting for PLDF to share with our members.
The 2025 PLDF Annual Meeting will provide an exceptional platform for sharing your experience and expertise with fellow professional liability colleagues and will offer a great many ways to network. Help us make the 2025 Annual Meeting our best one yet!
