William B. Oberts is a Co-Founding Member at Oberts Galasso Law Group where he concentrates his practice on representing professionals. Mr. Oberts represents attorneys in professional liability matters in both state and federal court and disciplinary matters before the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission. He also represents other professionals such as agents, brokers, officers, architects and engineers in liability matters in state and federal court and disciplinary matters before the Illinois Department of Professional & Financial Regulations. He was selected from over 700 nominees as one of the top "40 Illinois Attorneys Under Forty To Watch" by Law Bulletin Publishing Co., named a "Leading Lawyer" by Leading Lawyer magazine, a distinction earned by fewer than 5% of Illinois lawyers, and also named a "Super Lawyer" by Super Lawyer magazine, an honor bestowed upon only 2.5% of Illinois attorneys and is peer nominated. He regularly lectures and publishes articles on a variety of issues regarding professional liability, ethics, civility and professionalism. Mr. Oberts has achieved favorable results for his clients in both state and federal court through mediation, as lead counsel in several jury trials and as appellate counsel. He is also sat on the Board of Directors of the Chicago Bar Association and Chicago Bar Foundation, served as Chair of the Young Lawyers Section of the CBA and served as an officer andor member on several other committees.
The mission of the Professional Liability Defense Federation is to enhance the stature and effectiveness of professional liability defense professionals through education, training and the exchange of information.
