Ed received his B.L.A. (1987) from Louisiana State University, where he majored in Landscape Architecture. He received his J.D. (2001) from Loyola University School of Law, New Orleans, LA, where he was a member of the Law Review.
Ed is licensed in Louisiana and Mississippi and is admitted to all state a federal courts in those states, as well as the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
In 2006, Ed successfully completed the International Association of Defense Counsel’s Trial Academy at Stanford Law School in Palo Alto, California.

Ed has an active trial and appellate practice in Louisiana and Mississippi federal and state courts. He concentrates his practice in casualty, professional liability, insurance, and environmental and toxic tort. He has defended numerous professional liability claims (attorneys, real estate agents and brokers, and insurance agents and brokers), personal injury and property damage claims arising out of automobile, business premises, construction, environmental, and industrial accidents, as well as civil rights, employment practices, and First Amendment claims. Ed is a frequent presenter on legal malpractice and professional liability.
Ed is a member of the Federal Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association, and Mississippi Bar Association. Ed was nominated by clients to be a Member of the prestigious Claims & Litigation Management Alliance (CLM).
The mission of the Professional Liability Defense Federation is to enhance the stature and effectiveness of professional liability defense professionals through education, training and the exchange of information.
