Unwinding the In Pari Delicto Defense to Professional Liability Claims

In this webinar, our featured speakers will provide attendees with an understanding of the in pari delicto doctrine, its exceptions, and how the doctrine can be used to defeat claims for professional liability against both attorneys and accountants.  

Featured Speakers

Hunter Marckwald is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Court Mediator and is the founder of Innovative Dispute Solutions, PLLC. Previously, Hunter was in-house counsel for several publicly traded companies where he managed litigation, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, labor and employment, regulatory affairs and securities. Prior to his work in-house, Hunter was a litigator with two nationally recognized law firms in Florida and Ohio. Hunter is also available as a receiver, arbitrator or special master.

James M. Shaw is a founding member of the South Florida law firm, Torres Victor, PLLC. Mr. Shaw is an accomplished trial lawyer specializing in the defense of professional liability claims. He has secured many landmark victories for his clients on both motions for summary judgment and through defense verdicts. In the last 3 years alone, Mr. Shaw has won summary judgment on the liability defenses of abandonment; in pari delicto; and statute of limitations in several cases filed in Florida.
